Restore coral reefs in Marie-Galante.
On the island of Marie-Galante, in Guadeloupe, at the heart of the Caribbean Sea, we are supporting the development of a coral restoration project in one of the most affected reef regions in the Atlantic.
The reefs of Marie-Galante, like those of the wider Caribbean, are bearing the full force of climate change, pollution and human pressure. Reefs that protect coastlines, feed local communities and shelter irreplaceable marine biodiversity yet are disappearing at an alarming rate.
In partnership with the association Corail Marie-Galante, a local organisation deeply rooted in the island’s community, we provide technical and scientific support to build together a coral restoration project adapted to the island’s realities. Today, the association carries out awareness-raising activities with local residents, organises beach and seabed clean-ups, and lays the groundwork for a restoration project that will soon come to life.
Our role: to support them in designing and implementing the restoration protocol, and to manage the project once the first structures are submerged.
Because restoring a reef is not improvised. It is built with the right people, the right methods, and a thorough understanding of the terrain. That is exactly what we are building together in Marie-Galante.
These reefs are more than underwater landscapes. They are a living heritage. A common good. And for France, the world’s 4th largest coral power, a responsibility.

2. Access our form to personalize your certificate.
3. Receive your certificate via email as a printable PDF.
4. Your coral is then transplanted onto a Community Reef, a reef made up of around fifty adopted fragments. Once the reef is established, you receive an official planting certificate featuring its unique tracking number.
5. Watch your Community Reef grow. Track its progress via our “Follow My Reef” page, where new underwater photos are posted every six months, allowing you to observe your reef’s growth over time.
Adopt a reef and help us protect marine ecosystems that harbor 25% of marine biodiversity.
The reefs consist of 50 coral fragments.
