Adopt your reef on Rodrigues island

Adopt a reef on Rodrigues Island and help us protect marine ecosystems that are home to 25% of marine biodiversity.

The reefs are composed of 95 coral fragments.

With our local partner

On the small island of Rodrigues, in the heart of the Indian Ocean, we are restoring coral ecosystems that have long supported both marine life and coastal communities — yet remain fragile and largely unprotected.

The urgency is real. Rising sea temperatures, coastal development, and unsustainable practices are silently threatening the reefs — vital ecosystems that protect the coastline, support biodiversity, provide food, and carry deep cultural meaning for the islanders.

In close partnership with Bluer Ocean Project, a local organization deeply rooted in the territory, we carry out community-based coral restoration: training local youth, involving fishers and families, and bridging traditional knowledge with marine science.

Together, we plant corals, monitor growth, and share knowledge — not only to revive damaged reefs, but also to plant the seeds of a more ocean-conscious future.

These reefs are more than underwater landscapes. They are a living heritage. A source of resilience in the face of climate change. A foundation for local livelihoods. And a powerful reminder that ocean conservation must go beyond protected areas — and into the everyday lives of coastal communities.

Because every reef deserves a chance.
Because every island has a voice.
Because the time to restore — is now.
